    Many of us dream about  visiting all the “wonders of the world” and no doubt it should be on your wish list if you have passion for travelling like me; But how many of us know that UK has its own version of the “wonders of the world”? And believe me they really have the equivalent kind of charm as the “wonders of the world”. So if you are a resident of UK or a tourist in UK, why not include these gems in your list of “must visit place”.In this article we will talk about the 10 attractions. We will take  the each  wonders of the world and then we will check out the similar version   of that Wonder in UK.

Cheddar Gorge


Whose dramatic cliff faces are said to “closely mimic” those of the Arizona landmark.Cheddar Gorge is a limestone gorge in the Mendip Hills, near the village of Cheddar in Somerset, England. The gorge is the site of the Cheddar show caves, where Britain's oldest complete human skeleton, Cheddar Man, estimated to be 9,000 years old, was found in 1903.Older remains from the Upper Late Palaeolithic era (12,000–13,000 years ago) have been found. The caves, produced by the activity of an underground river, contain stalactites and stalagmites.

2.Machu Picchu , Peru  Vs Tintagel Castle Cornwall Coast UK

7,000 feet above sea level and nestled on a small hilltop between the Andean Mountain Range, the majestic city soars above the Urabamba Valley below. The Incan built structure has been deemed the “Lost Cities”, unknown until its relatively recent discovery in 1911. Archaeologists estimate that approximately 1200 people could have lived in the area, though many theorize it was most likely a retreat for Incan rulers. Due to it’s isolation from the rest of Peru, living in the area full time would require traveling great distances just to reach the nearest village.

8. Ancient Pyramids of Giza, Egypt Vs Stonehenge, UK

Very Significant Ancient Monument .The three main Pyramids of Giza are the focal point of the Giza necropolis, or cemetery, that served the elite of the Old Kingdom capital of Egypt at nearby Memphis during the mid to late 4th Dynasty (late 3rd millennium BCE). Stonehenge is probably the most important prehistoric monument in the whole of Britain and has attracted visitors from earliest times. It stands as a timeless monument to the people who built it.
The Stonehenge that we see today is the final stage that was completed about 3500 years ago. The Pyramids of Giza is still surrounded my mystery so as Our Stonehenge.

The Hadrian's Wall of Northern England 

The Hadrian's Wall of Northern England was a defensive fortification in Roman Britain. Begun in AD 122, during the rule of the Emperor Hadrian. It is the most popular tourist attraction in Northern England. It was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. English Heritage, a government organisation in charge of managing the historic environment of England, describes it as "the most important monument built by the Romans in Britain.
